This examination will select candidates for admission into BSc Nursing courses at both Government and Private Institutes across Assam for the 2025 academic session. The online application process for the Assam BSc Nursing Entrance Examination, 2025 begins from 23rd April 2025 through the official web portal of SSUHS. According to the official notification, interested candidates have until 22nd May 2025 to complete their online applications. This one-month application window provides ample time for prospective nursing students to prepare their documents and submit their applications for this important entrance examination.

Qualifying Marks: The minimum qualifying criteria or cut-off score for the BSc Nursing Entrance Examination vary according to candidate categories. General category candidates (UR/EWS) must score at least 50% of the total marks to qualify, while SC/ST/OBC candidates need to achieve a minimum of 40% marks. For Unreserved candidates with Persons with Disabilities (UR-PWD), the qualifying threshold is set at 45% of the total marks.
Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc. Nursing
Educational Qualification: To be eligible for the BSc Nursing Entrance Examination, candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board, Council, or University with English as one of the subjects. They must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General category candidates, 45% marks for PWD candidates, and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) categories without grace marks.
Appearing Students: Students who have appeared for their Higher Secondary (10+2) Science Examination in 2025 and are still awaiting their results are also eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination. These candidates will be considered provisionally eligible at the time of application. However, they will be required to upload their HS (10+2) marks in the application portal once their results are declared. This provision ensures that current-year students don’t miss the opportunity to apply for the nursing program while waiting for their board examination results.
Gender: For admission to BSc Nursing programs in institutions under the Government of Assam, applicants must be female candidates only. This gender-specific requirement applies exclusively to government-run nursing institutes in the state. However, male candidates are allowed to appear in the BSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2025 for admission into institutes in the private sector.
Age Limit: The minimum age requirement for applicants to the BSc Nursing program is 17 years as of 31st December 2025.

Application Fee: Candidates applying for the BSc Nursing Entrance Examination are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee that varies according to their category. For General category candidates, the examination fee is ₹1500/-. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC-NCL/MOBC categories, a reduced fee of ₹1200/- has been set.
